This skeleton model shows the entire life-size skeleton from head to toe and includes the following additional features:


  • Visible ligaments (ligaments) at large joints on the right side such as the shoulder
  • Illustrations of skeletal muscle origin and attachment using red and blue color on the left side
  • Naming of muscles and bones in the accompanying document
  • Arterial vertebralis
  • The spinal nerves
  • A lumbar disc herniation
  • A very flexible spine


Mounted on a stand, the plastic skeleton measures approx. 177 cm in height, and the level of detail on the bones is really good. Virtually all joints on the left side are held together by metal buckles / metal, which allows limited opportunity to demonstrate the joints' natural movements as well as the possibility of complete disassembly (eg the left arm). Joints on the right side are held together primarily by brown rubber ligaments, and the mobility of almost all of these joints is severely restricted. The spine, on the other hand, is extremely flexible, and the movement is described below.

The skeleton rests on a solid stand, which can be easily moved, because at the bottom it consists of a 5-branch column foot with a corresponding number of wheels. Also included is a simple and transparent dust bag.


As mentioned above, the origin and attachment of skeletal muscles are marked in red and blue and numbered on the skeleton (left side only). The bones are also numbered. A comprehensive overview with their names in Latin and English is not included, but you can download and print the overview via our website - see under the product images on the left.

Anatomisk set viser skelettet alle kroppens knogler (inkl. tungebenet og sesamknogler). Brusk i brystkassen samt tænder i over- og underkæbe er også medtaget.


I venstre side af skelettet ses også de vigtigste ledbånd i skulder-, albue-, hofte- og knæleddet.


Endvidere leveres skeletmodellen med arterie vertebralis, spinalnerverne samt en diskusprolaps i båndskiven mellem L3 og L4 (3. og 4. lændehvirvel).


Kraniet kan hurtig afmonteres og deles i 3 (kraniekalotten, underkæbebenet og den resterende del af kraniet).


Detaljeringsgraden på knoglerne er rigtig god. Omfanget af "ossøse landemærker" omfatter både store detaljer som fx tuberculum majus og minus på humerus (overarmsbenet) samt mindre detaljer som linea aspera på bagsiden af femur (lårbenet). 


Epifyselinjerne er også vist på over- og underekstremiteter (arme og ben).


Bevægelsesmæssigt er modellen særdeles fleksibel i ryggen, men ikke i andre led. Leddene i venstre side holdes sammen af metalspænder/metal, der begrænser bevægelsesmulighederne. Eksempelvis kan rotation i knæleddet ikke demonstreres, selvom både fleksion og ekstension (bøjning og strækning) er mulig. Ledbåndene i højre side begrænser kraftigt bevægelsesmulighederne i disse led.

 

Når rygsøjlen er bøjet, forbliver den bøjet, indtil den rettes ud igen.

Bevægelsesmulighederne omfatter fleksion-ekstension, lateralfleksion samt rotation i både lænden og brystkassen. 


Endvidere kan alle hovedets bevægelser demonstreres svarende til det øvre nakkeled. Bevægelser i det nedre nakkeled (mellem C1 og C2) kan ikke demonstreres på en naturtro måde.


Klinisk set er denne model udviklet til forståelse af lidelser som ledbåndsskader, skoliose, diskusprolaps og rodaffektion.


Skelettet er også ideelt til forståelse af mange andre sygdomme, lidelser og gener i skelettet.
